Even if you are as bright as the sun, you're going to get overshadowed by a thin layer of fog up in the sky. Suddenly everything people do to achieve power became meaningless to me like trying to achieve the inevitable; you simply can't.

despite all those clouds, it doesn't mean there is no sun there either but rather, you can't deny the sun being there and you know the light will shine again, thus why people feel obligated to have power so they can be strong when the time comes so that they can deny the oblivion that awaits them in the end. so I guess it does make sense to want to have power in this world because no matter what people tell you or no matter what anyone thinks of that power or how long the power will stay, you know that there indeed is the attraction power has to people. It's all about remembering and being remembered in the end of the day. Oblivion, my friend, is a scary thing.
-Or maybe, looking at the sky in that moment, was about hope I thought to myself as in some sort of
light to people as if the clouds were the dark times in which you can't see the light or hope in this case but deep down you know there is hope. That's why tomorrow's are born where you wish for the clouds to disappear so that the light of hope can shine through and into your eyes.
In the end it all makes sense I guess, you just need something to get you to another day; be it a complicated desire to have power or one wish as simple as hope itself.
In simpler words; as you have heard "whatever helps you sleep at night" is the most accurate thing in any situation this world has to offer to us.
